Okcheon Culture & Arts Center Presents Captivating Comedy Play… Starring Comediennes Kim Young-hee and Lee Hyun-jung
An audience-participatory comedy play that promises big laughs and a vivid atmosphere, as if you were actually at a live home shopping broadcast, is set to take the stage in Okcheon.
On September 5 at 5:00 PM, the Okcheon Culture & Arts Center will present the play "It's! Home Shopping Inc.", a production selected for the Arts Management Support Center's "2026 Regional Distribution Support Project for Performing Arts."
The play depicts the chaos that unfolds when a grandmother, who has run a famous cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste) restaurant for 55 years, appears on a broadcast herself to support her granddaughter, a home shopping show host.
Amidst a continuous stream of unexpected situations and unpredictable crises during the live broadcast, the fierce sales battle between the protagonist grandmother and a rival show host unfolds at a rapid pace, offering the audience a unique kind of entertainment.
The cast is also impressive. Veteran comedians such as comediennes Kim Young-hee and Lee Hyun-jung will take the stage in large numbers, filling the performance with their solid acting skills and quick wit.
The ticket price for this performance is set at 10,000 won, and reservations will begin on August 24 at 1:00 PM.
An official from Okcheon County stated that they have prepared a delightful performance to help blow away the fatigue and stress of daily life, and expressed hope that people would visit the stage with family and friends to share the vivid atmosphere and joyful memories.
