양 시·도당은 16일부터 17일까지 이틀간 전남 보성다비치콘도에서 「전남광주통합특별시의원 당선인 워크숍」을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 워크숍은 새롭게 출범하는 전남광주통합특별시의회의 성공적인 안착을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다. 당선인들의 의정 역량을 강화하고 청렴한 공직 가치를 확립하는 것은 물론, 통합특별시의 발전 비전을 공유하는 데 목적이 있다.
워크숍 첫날인 16일 오후에는 김원이 전남도당위원장과 양부남 광주시당위원장, 민형배 전남광주통합특별시장 당선인의 인사말과 특강으로 문을 열었다.
이어 선출직 공직자로서의 윤리와 책무를 다지기 위한 전문 교육이 진행됐다. 김정대 선진지방자치연수원 교수가 ‘선출직 공직자의 자세와 윤리규범’을 주제로 강연을 펼쳤으며, 김경례 전 전남도당 윤리심판위원은 ‘성평등 정책과 적용방안’을 주제로 공직자의 성인지 감수성과 성평등 의정활동의 중요성을 강조했다.
특히 이번 워크숍은 「공직자의 이해충돌방지법」 및 「양성평등기본법」에 따른 성희롱·성폭력 예방교육 등 법정의무교육을 프로그램에 포함해, 당선인들이 책임감 있는 의정활동을 펼칠 수 있는 기반을 다지는 데 중점을 뒀다.
당선인들은 워크숍 기간 동안 '당선인 총회'를 열고 전남광주통합특별시의회의 원구성과 구체적인 운영 방향, 향후 의정활동 계획 등을 심도 있게 논의한다. 이를 통해 통합특별시의회의 안정적인 출범과 유기적인 협력 체계를 조기에 구축하겠다는 구상이다.
