[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시가 1조 원 규모의 대규모 인공지능 데이터센터(AIDC) 투자를 유치하며 미래 첨단 디지털 인프라 구축에 나섰다.
창원특례시는 20일 시청 접견실에서 ㈜삼공퍼센트와 ‘마산회원구 양덕동 80MW급 AI 데이터센터 건립을 위한 투자유치 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이날 협약식에는 강기윤 창원특례시장과 임태호 ㈜삼공퍼센트 대표이사 등 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 협약에 따라 ㈜삼공퍼센트는 마산회원구 양덕동 974-15번지 일원 2만 772㎡ 부지에 총 1조 894억 원을 투입해 지상 4층, 수전용량 80MW 규모의 AI 데이터센터를 짓는다. 사업은 2026년 하반기 착공해 2028년 10월 준공한 뒤 2029년 1월 본격적인 가동에 들어갈 예정이다.
