박종원 후보는 지난 2일 지지자와 당원들이 대거 운집한 가운데 선거사무소 개소식을 열고 본격적인 본선 행보를 시작했다. 이날 현장에는 민형배 더불어민주당 전남광주특별시장 후보를 비롯해 이개호·정준호 국회의원, 신수정 광주북구청장 후보, 장세일 장성군수 후보 등 당 주요 인사가 총출동해 힘을 보탰다.
