이번 교육은 본격적인 임기 시작에 앞서 지방의원의 공직 윤리를 확립하고, 급변하는 지역 정책 환경에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있는 전문성을 기르기 위해 마련됐다.
더불어민주당 전남도당은 지난 19일과 20일 이틀간 전남 동·서부권으로 지역을 나누어 「제9회 지선 기초의원 당선인 교육」을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 19일 순천대학교 산학협력관에서 열린 동부권 교육에는 92명, 20일 국립나주숲체원에서 진행된 서부권 교육에는 103명 등 총 195명의 당선인이 전원 참석해 뜨거운 배움의 열기를 보였다.
이번 연수는 단순한 일방향성 강의를 넘어, 지방의회가 당면한 핵심 과제인 ‘지역 소멸 위기 극복’과 ‘전남·광주 행정통합’이라는 거시적 담론부터 성인지 감수성, 청렴 의무 등 미시적 공직 윤리까지 아우르는 입체적인 커리큘럼으로 구성돼 당선인들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
