[Break News Gyeonggi South = Suwon Reporter Lee Hyun-jun] Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Market & Commercial District Promotion Agency are recruiting participating companies for the 2026 Gyeonggi Small Business Self-Reliance Enhancement Project to revitalize the manufacturing ecosystem within the province.

This project is a collaborative initiative between Gyeonggi Province and cities and counties to support small business owners with high growth potential and enhance their competitiveness. This year, additional funding has been allocated to support vulnerable small business owners, with plans to support approximately 225 companies with a total budget of 2.144 billion KRW.

Support covers a total of six areas: product development, promotion and marketing, intellectual property rights, working environment improvement, smart processes, and overseas sales channels. Specifically, it provides support for product development costs, standard certifications, logo and website creation, patent applications, renovation of aging workshops, implementation of smart technologies, and participation fees for overseas exhibitions. Funding will be disbursed differentially by sector, ranging from 3 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW, within the range of 80% of the supply price.

Eligibility is open to small business owners whose headquarters and business locations are in the 12 eligible cities and counties (Yongin, Hwaseong, Ansan, Siheung, Paju, Yangju, Gunpo, Anseong, Yangpyeong, Yeoju, Gapyeong, and Yeoncheon). In particular, the newly established overseas market support sector this year provides separate support totaling 200 million won to small business owners across Gyeonggi Province to assist those in the early stages of exporting.
