경기북부보훈지청은 6월 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 지난 15일 한전MCS㈜ 경기북부지사 및 산하 5개 지점과 함께 국가유공자와 보훈가족을 위한 후원물품 전달식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 국가를 위해 헌신한 국가유공자들의 희생과 공헌에 감사의 마음을 전하고, 지역사회의 보훈문화 확산을 위해 마련됐다.
6월 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 개최된 이번 위문품 전달식에서는, 한전MCS(주) ▲경기북부지사(지사장 임동규) ▲경기북부지사직할지점(차장 이귀달) ▲가평지점(지점장 이중표) ▲구리지점(지점장 우인자) ▲남양주지점(지점장 권상희) ▲양평지점(지점장 박진희) 직원들이 자발적 성금으로 마련한 홍삼세트(150만원 상당)가 경기북부보훈지청에 전달되었다.

전달식에는 박용주 경기북부보훈지청장과 임동규 한전MCS㈜ 경기북부지사장을 비롯해 각 지점 관계자들이 참석해 국가유공자 예우와 지원 확대에 대한 뜻을 함께했다.
행사를 마친 뒤 양 기관 관계자들은 의정부시에 거주하는 국가유공자 송모 어르신의 자택을 직접 방문해 홍삼세트를 전달하고 위문하는 시간을 가졌다.
한전MCS㈜ 직원들은 송 어르신의 참전 경험담을 경청하며 국가를 위해 헌신한 보훈 영웅들의 희생정신을 되새겼으며, 세대를 초월한 소통과 공감의 시간을 나눴다.
