KDN Promotes Energy ICT from a Youth Perspective… Launch Ceremony for ‘2026 KDN Challengers’ Held
A total of 4 teams selected… Support for promoting ESG and AI achievements and producing AI-based content; President Park Sang-hyung held a meeting and presented letters of appointment… Two-way public communication activities to be carried out until the end of the year
(Naju = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = KDN, a public enterprise specializing in energy ICT, is stepping up to strengthen two-way communication with the public based on the creative ideas of young people.
KDN announced that it held the ‘2026 Public Communication Youth Participation Group “KDN Challengers” Launch Ceremony’ at the headquarters training hall in Naju Innovation City on the 27th.
KDN’s ‘Public Communication Youth Participation Group’ is a program designed to promote KDN’s management innovation achievements and major projects—which may be somewhat unfamiliar to the general public due to the nature of its B2B (business-to-business) centered public sector operations—by reinterpreting them through social media content from the perspective of young people. This year's recruitment, conducted under the nickname "KDN Challengers," attracted a total of 15 teams over a three-week period starting June 23. Following document and quantitative evaluations and online interviews, four finalist teams were selected.
In particular, the KDN Challengers selected this year plan to produce content that goes beyond simple company introductions to focus on highlighting the achievements in implementing key national policy tasks, such as KDN's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Furthermore, in line with the spread of a public-friendly AI culture, the use of AI technology has been mandated for all content production. KDN plans to actively provide not only financial support for AI utilization but also expert mentoring to ensure the smooth operation of the participating teams.
At the preliminary event held prior to the inauguration ceremony, KDN President Park Sang-hyung personally attended to share his philosophy on communication as the head of the organization. This was followed by the presentation of appointment certificates and welcome kits. The main event featured an overview of future operational plans and team-building programs. The ‘2026 KDN Challengers,’ which has commenced full-scale activities starting with an inauguration ceremony, plans to collect public opinion by posting team-produced deliverables on KDN’s official social media channels. The activities will conclude at the end of this year with a progress report meeting, an awards ceremony for outstanding teams, and a closing ceremony.
A KDN official stated, “As a public enterprise primarily providing B2B services, we have always deeply contemplated ways to approach the public in a friendly manner,” adding, “Through the spirited ideas of young people that have continued for several years, we will communicate with the voices of the youth and continuously strengthen two-way communication as a specialized energy ICT public enterprise that is always with the people.”
