충청북도 AI디지털배움터와 협력해 추진된 이번 캠프는 어린이들이 인공지능과 코딩 등 미래 핵심 기술을 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 실습 중심의 다채로운 체험 프로그램으로 채워졌다.
교육 과정에서는 생성형 AI인 제미나이(Gemini)를 활용한 창작 활동을 통해 글 작성과 그림 제작 등 창의적 문제 해결 과정을 실습했다. 또한 아이온 AI코딩 및 로봇축구 프로그램을 도입해 학생들이 직접 작성한 코딩 명령어로 로봇 경기를 진행하며 코딩의 기본 원리와 AI 기술을 자연스럽게 습득할 수 있도록 유도했다.
캠프에 참여한 한 학생은 로봇과 함께 인공지능을 직접 다뤄보며 배울 수 있어 색다르고 즐거웠다는 반응을 보였으며, 현장을 찾은 학부모들 역시 실습 위주의 구성에 높은 만족도를 나타냈다.
충주시 정보통신 관계자는 이번 캠프가 어린이들이 AI와 코딩에 친숙해지고 미래 사회에 필요한 역량과 자신감을 키우는 기회가 되었길 바란다며, 앞으로도 시민 전반의 AI 디지털 역량을 올릴 수 있는 다채로운 교육 프로그램을 계속해서 선보이겠다고 전했다.

Chungju City has embarked on the full-scale cultivation of future talent by hosting the "2026 AI Robot Coding Camp" for 30 local elementary school students at the Youth Culture Center "Sum & Tteul."
Promoted in collaboration with the Chungcheongbuk-do AI Digital Learning Center, this camp is filled with diverse, practice-oriented experiential programs designed to help children intuitively understand core future technologies such as artificial intelligence and coding.
During the curriculum, students practiced creative problem-solving processes, such as writing text and creating drawings, through creative activities utilizing Gemini, a generative AI.
