【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청이 교육연구정보원 시청각실에서 2026년 8월 말 퇴직 교원들을 초청해 그간의 헌신과 노고를 기리는 정부 훈·포장 전수식을 전격 개최했다.

훈·포장 전수 대상은 정년퇴직자 74명, 명예퇴직자 95명, 사망퇴직자 2명을 포함해 총 171명이다. 훈격별로는 황조근정훈장 27명, 홍조근정훈장 40명, 녹조근정훈장 33명, 옥조근정훈장 37명, 근정포장 14명, 대통령표창 6명, 국무총리표창 4명, 교육부장관표창 10명 등 오랜 세월 쌓아 올린 공로에 따라 정부 포상이 차례로 수여됐다.
전수식 현장에서는 훈·포장과 표창 전달에 이어 선후배 교육자 간의 깊은 존경과 축하 인사가 이어졌으며, 평생을 바쳐 일군 충북교육의 발자취를 돌아보는 뜻깊은 시간이 조성됐다.
충청북도교육청 윤건영 교육감은 인터뷰에서 "교육이란 한 사람이 건넨 마음과 가르침이 또 다른 이의 삶으로 계속해서 이어지며 시간이 흘러도 깊은 울림을 남기는 숭고한 일"이라며 "수십 년 동안 학생들의 배움과 바른 성장을 위해 현장에서 헌신해 온 선생님들께 진심으로 감사드리며, 퇴임 후에도 충북교육의 든든한 선배이자 조력자로서 지혜와 따뜻한 격려를 아끼지 말아 달라"고 당부했다.
