(브레이크뉴스 전남광주) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시의회 시청예산결산특별위원회가 통합특별시 출범 이후 첫 번째 예산·결산 심사를 앞두고 위원들의 전문성과 직무 역량을 대폭 강화하기 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.
시청예산결산특별위원회는 지난 13일부터 14일까지 이틀간 순천시 일원에서 위원들의 심사 역량 제고 및 협력적 의정활동 기틀 마련을 위한 연찬회를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 연찬회는 행정통합에 따라 대폭 확대된 예산 규모와 이에 걸맞은 막중해진 재정 심사 역할의 중요성을 공유하고, 2026년도 상반기 결산과 내년도 본예산안 심사 등 통합특별시의 첫 번째 예·결산 심사를 내실 있고 차질 없이 준비하기 위해 마련됐다.
연찬회 프로그램은 예산 심사의 전문성을 높이기 위한 실무 특강과 의원 간 소통 역량을 극대화하는 강의로 알차게 구성됐다. 강사로 초빙된 전남대학교 정책대학원 김병도 교수는 ‘예산심사기법과 전남·광주 재정구조의 통합적용’을 주제로 강연을 펼쳤다. 김 교수는 광주와 전남의 재정 구조적 특성을 체계적으로 분석하고, 통합에 따른 효과적인 예산 심층 심사 기법과 실무적인 검토 기준을 제시해 참석 위원들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
