(브레이크뉴스 전남광주) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시가 완도 전복의 소비를 확대하고 외식시장 판로를 안정적으로 확보하기 위해 오는 12일까지 고속도로 휴게소에서 특별한 할인 및 시식 행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 전북 김제와 오수, 경남 함안, 충남 공주 등 총 4개 고속도로 휴게소에서 동시에 열린다.
행사 기간 동안 방문객들은 지난 3월 ㈜풀무원푸드앤컬처와의 업무협약을 통해 개발된 휴게소 특화 전복 메뉴 9종 중 가장 인기가 높은 5종의 메뉴를 30% 할인된 가격에 맛볼 수 있다.
할인 및 시식 대상 메뉴는 ▲완도전복꼬치어묵라면 ▲완도전복꼬치어묵우동 ▲완도전복매운꼬치어묵우동 ▲완도전복순두부찌개 ▲완도전복돼지맑은보양탕 등 총 5가지다. 고속도로 이용객들에게 신선한 완도 전복을 부담 없는 가격에 선보임으로써 큰 호응을 얻을 것으로 기대된다.
전남광주통합특별시는 이번 판촉 행사를 기점으로 고속도로 휴게소 내 전복 메뉴 판매가 활성화되면, 연간 약 70톤에 달하는 전복 소비 효과가 발생할 것으로 내다보고 있다. 아울러 지역 특산물과 대형 외식 유통망을 연계한 이른바 '로코노미(Local+Economy)' 사업을 지속적으로 추진해 전복 소비 기반을 탄탄하게 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
