【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 음성군이 역점 추진 중인 '그린에너지 스마트농업타운 투자선도지구' 연계 공모사업 확보에 속도를 내고 있다.
음성군은 농림축산식품부 주관 '스마트원예단지 기반조성사업' 공모를 앞두고 ㈜썬메이트, 베리원과 성공적인 사업 추진 및 참여를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
스마트원예단지 기반조성사업은 대규모 스마트팜단지 운영에 필수적인 도로, 용·배수, 전기, 오폐수 처리시설 등 기반 인프라 구축을 지원하는 국가 공모사업이다. 사업에 선정되면 3년간 사업비의 70%를 국비로 지원받아 초기 투자 부담을 크게 줄일 수 있다.
이번 협약에 따라 ㈜썬메이트와 베리원은 스마트원예단지 내 수출형 스마트팜 분양 사업에 참여한다. 또한 스마트농업 인재 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램을 공동 개발하고, 임대형 스마트팜 교육생들의 진로 및 취업 지원에도 협력할 예정이다.
협약에 참여한 ㈜썬메이트는 진천군에서 대규모 벤로형 유리온실을 운영하며 파프리카 대량 생산 및 수출을 이어온 기업이다. 청주시에 위치한 베리원 역시 충북 스마트팜 딸기 1호 농장으로서 지역 최초로 인도네시아 수출을 성공시키는 등 스마트농업 분야에서 경쟁력을 인정받고 있다.
음성군은 이번 협약을 통해 기반시설 구축부터 기업 유치, 인재 양성으로 이어지는 스마트농업 선순환 생태계를 더욱 공고히 한다는 구상이다.
앞서 음성군은 충북개발공사, 교보자산신탁과 특수목적법인(SPC) 설립을 위한 협약을 맺은 바 있으며, 충북도교육청 및 지역 농업계 특성화고와 연계한 현장 실습 및 인재 양성 체계 구축도 추진 중이다.
