Tmoney Mobility Co., a mobility spin-off of South Korean electronic financial services company Tmoney Co., announced on Monday that it will cooperate with Chinese ride-hailing platform company DiDi Chuxing to provide tax-calling services in Korea.
Tmoney Mobility and DiDi Chuxing held a partnership agreement signing ceremony at DiDi Chuxing’s headquarters in Beijing, China.
Under the partnership, Chinese travelers visiting Korea will be able to use Tmoney GO’s Onda Taxi service directly through the familiar DiDi app they already use in China, allowing them to access real-time taxi dispatch services.
Chinese tourists will be able to call taxis in Korea without installing additional apps or going through complicated procedures, even in an unfamiliar environment.
Tmoney Mobility noted that the collaboration with DiDi will also serve as a starting point for various support programs and promotions aimed at fostering coexistence with Korea’s taxi industry and supporting taxi drivers.
It also added that it plans to expand the range of transportation services available in the future, including express buses, intercity buses, and personal mobility options, while also strengthening partnerships with global ride-hailing platforms.
Tmoney Mobility, in the meantime, has been expanding its identity as a mobility fintech and platform company, promoting integrated transportation services centered on public transit while securing growth momentum through strategic partnerships and investment attraction.
