Lotte Home Shopping said Monday that it will launch a dedicated application linked to the artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT, allowing users to access the company’s shopping services directly within the chatbot.
Users can access the service without installing a separate application by selecting the “Apps” tab in ChatGPT, searching for “Lotte Home Shopping” and clicking “Start Chat.”
The service effectively operates as a storefront embedded within ChatGPT’s Apps ecosystem.
The company said the platform enables users to search for products and live broadcasts, check promotional benefits and make purchases through conversational requests such as asking when kitchenware programs will air.
Lotte Home Shopping said it is the first company in South Korea’s home shopping industry to introduce a dedicated application for ChatGPT.
A company official said the service was designed to provide a one-stop shopping experience tailored to the emerging era of hyper-personalized AI agents.
