Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on May 8 that its non-alcoholic beer brand, ‘Kloud Non-Alcoholic’, was awarded the ‘Gold’ grade at the ‘Monde Selection Beer Awards’ in Belgium.
Monde Selection, established in Brussels, Belgium in 1961, is a world-renowned quality evaluation institute for consumer products. It selects and awards outstanding products in various categories, including food and beverages, through a panel of judges composed of chefs, sommeliers, professors, and scientists.
At this competition, Kloud Non-Alcoholic was recognized for its excellent quality across various evaluation criteria, including sensory evaluations of its gustatory, visual, and olfactory aspects, as well as its package design and the comprehensive opinion of experts.
Kloud Non-Alcoholic is characterized by a natural beer flavor with no loss of taste or aroma. This is achieved by applying Kloud’s unique fermentation method, which uses special yeast to limit alcohol production during fermentation, thereby avoiding the need for artificial alcohol separation in the production process. Additionally, a rich malt aroma can be experienced through the use of premium, carefully selected raw materials such as German Noble hops and malt from Australia and Canada.
An official from Lotte Chilsung Beverage stated, “This award is the result of the quality of Kloud Non-Alcoholic, which embodies a natural beer taste, being proven through a world-renowned competition.”
