Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on May 13 that it held a 'Signing Ceremony for the ‘26 Wage and Collective Bargaining Agreement and Declaration of Labor-Management Cooperative Relations’ with its labor union, pledging to achieve this year’s business goals and cooperate as ‘One Team KAI’.

According to KAI, CEO Kim Jong-chul engaged in close dialogue with the labor union through communication and on-site-focused management immediately after his inauguration. He expressed his commitment to the normalization of management and increased mutual trust by directly participating as a representative in the wage and collective bargaining negotiations, leading to an early conclusion.

Union Chairman Kim Seung-gu also shared the CEO’s vision for management normalization and promised active cooperation. He called for mutual growth with the labor union by suggesting improvements to the organization and corporate culture.

With this cooperative agreement as a turning point, KAI plans to resolve the labor-management conflict that arose in the early days of CEO Kim’s tenure and focus its full efforts on normalizing management and strengthening global competitiveness.

CEO Kim Jong-chul stated, “I am grateful that labor and management have opened a path for mutual growth by amicably concluding the wage and collective bargaining agreement early through concession and compromise, despite the difficult business environment.” He added, “With this labor-management cooperative agreement as an opportunity, we will further solidify the ‘One Team KAI’ system and continue to strengthen KAI’s competitiveness toward our common goals.”

Union Chairman Kim Seung-gu said, “I believe that improving the rights and interests of our members is the company’s sustainable development, which in turn leads to the happiness of our employees.” He continued, “We will actively cooperate in achieving the company’s business goals, such as creating a safe workplace and ensuring timely deliveries.”
