South Korean software company Hancom Inc. reported its highest-ever quarterly results for the first quarter of 2026, signaling a successful transition from traditional office software to an AI-driven business model.
Hancom announced on Wednesday that its standalone revenue for the January-March period reached 46.5 billion won ($31.2 million), up 2.4 percent from the same period a year ago. Its operating profit rose 2.7 percent to 17.6 billion won.
“These results surpassed the performance from the same quarter last year, which had already marked the company’s best quarterly performance ever,” said a company official. “They demonstrate the company’s strong fundamentals through a successful transformation into an AI-driven business model.”
Hancom attributed the strong results to growth in its AI business. It noted that it has achieved stable top-line growth for three consecutive years by shifting away from its traditional packaged software business toward AI- and cloud-centered operations.
According to the company, Hancom’s core AI products, including document parsing and unstructured data extraction technologies – are increasingly being adopted as essential tools in both business-to-government and business-to-business markets seeking to build AI infrastructure.
The company’s subscription service, Hancom Docs, also continues to grow steadily in its user base.
Hancom is targeting 210 billion won in sales this year, which would mark the first time it surpasses the 200 billion won threshold.
The company plans to launch its twin-type agentic OS in the first half of the year. The platform is designed to create a digital twin that replicates users’ work patterns, enabling AI agents to autonomously perform tasks continuously.
