(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=에너지ICT 전문 공기업 한전KDN이 산·학 연계 ESG 활동을 통한 사회적 가치 실현과 에너지ICT 맞춤형 인재 발굴을 위해 ‘제12회 2026 빛가람 AI·ICT 경진대회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 미래 에너지 산업을 이끌 디지털 인재 발굴을 목표로 추진되어 왔으며, 지난 11회까지 이어져 온 ‘빛가람 에너지밸리 SW 작품 경진대회’에서 ‘빛가람 AI·ICT 경진대회’로 명칭을 새로 바꾸어 진행된다.
한전KDN은 그동안 인공지능(AI), 사물인터넷(IoT), 빅데이터 등 최신 기술을 활용한 출품작을 통해 청년 인재들의 창의적인 아이디어를 발굴해 왔다. 특히 올해는 대회의 교육적 가치를 높이고 참가 학생들을 지도해 온 지도자의 노고를 기리기 위해 ‘지도자상’을 신설할 예정이다.
참가 대상은 광주·전남·전북 소재 대학 및 대학원 재(휴)학생 대상의 대학부와 전국 마이스터고·과학고 재학생 대상의 고등부로 나뉘며, 2인 이상 5인 이하의 팀 단위로 자유롭게 참가할 수 있다.
참가 신청 및 작품 접수는 오는 9월 1일부터 10월 11일까지 진행된다. 자세한 내용과 신청 서류는 한전KDN 공식 누리집에서 확인할 수 있다.
접수된 작품은 10월 중 예선 심사를 거쳐 대학부와 고등부에서 각각 8개 팀, 총 16개 본선 진출 팀을 선발한다. 본선 진출작은 11월 11일 한전KDN 본사 1층 로비에 전시되며, 당일 프로그램의 독창성, 기술성, 완성도, 전달력, 사업화 가능성 등을 종합 평가해 최종 우수작을 선발·시상한다.
한전KDN 관계자는 “지난 경진대회를 통해 많은 청년의 아이디어가 실제 사업화되는 등 행사의 의미와 역할이 더욱 커지고 있다”며 “새롭게 단장한 이번 경진대회가 산·학 협력을 통해 미래 ICT 산업을 선도할 주역들을 만나는 뜻깊은 자리가 되길 바라며, 참신한 아이디어와 열정을 가진 학생들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 전했다.

This competition has been pursued with the goal of discovering digital talent to lead the future energy industry. It will be held under the new name of the ‘Bitgaram AI·ICT Competition,’ formerly the ‘Bitgaram Energy Valley SW Works Competition’ that ran for 11 editions. KEPCO KDN has been discovering creative ideas from young talents through entries utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data. In particular, this year, a new "Leader Award" is planned to enhance the educational value of the competition and to recognize the dedication of the mentors who have guided the participating students.
Participation is divided into a University Division for currently enrolled (or on leave of absence) students at universities and graduate schools located in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, and a High School Division for students currently enrolled in Meister High Schools and Science High Schools nationwide.
