[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 하동군이 추진 중인 시설관리공단 설립안이 심의위원회에서 만장일치로 통과됐다.

하동군은 지난 20일 군청 상설회의장에서 열린 ‘시설관리공단 설립 심의위원회’에서 공단 설립 적정성 안건이 참석 위원 전원 찬성으로 가결됐다고 밝혔다.

심의위원회는 민간전문가와 군의원, 공무원 등 8명으로 구성됐으며 이날 회의에는 6명이 참석했다. 위원들은 타당성 검토 용역 결과와 주민공청회, 경남도 협의 결과 등을 종합 검토한 뒤 공단 설립 필요성에 의견을 모았다.

앞서 지방공기업평가원 타당성 검토에서는 공단 운영 시 연평균 7400만원 수준의 수지 악화 가능성이 제시됐지만, 하동군은 별도 검증심의회를 거쳐 조직 축소와 수익 추정 방식 조정 등 자체 개선안을 마련했다.

군은 경영지원 인력 1명을 줄이고 금오산 짚와이어 수익 예측치를 현실화한 결과, 기존 직영·위탁 방식보다 연평균 약 2억7000만원의 수지 개선 효과가 가능할 것으로 분석했다.

이 같은 개선안은 경남도와의 2차 협의에서도 반영돼 ‘설립 적정’ 의견을 받은 바 있다.

하동군은 올해 하반기 시설관리공단 설립·운영 조례안을 군의회에 상정할 계획이다. 공단이 출범하면 기존 11개 대상 사업 외에도 신규 공공시설 관리와 축제·행사 운영까지 맡길 수 있을 것으로 군은 보고 있다.
