조선의 명기 황진이의 삶을 새롭게 재해석한 영화 ‘황진이’가 기록적인 폭염 속에서도 뜨거운 제작 열기를 이어가며 본격적인 촬영에 돌입했다.
영화 ‘황진이’ 제작진은 지난 8일 경기도 가평군 상천테마공원에서 첫 촬영을 진행하고 작품의 대장정을 시작했다고 밝혔다.
이번 작품은 황진이의 삶을 단순히 조명하는 전기영화를 넘어 조선 연산군 시대부터 중종, 명종에 이르는 격동의 역사를 배경으로 군주의 역할과 자격, 권력의 의미를 되짚는 시대극으로 제작된다.
영화는 마키아벨리의 ‘군주론’을 모티브로 ‘군주의 자리에 오른 자에게 가장 중요한 것은 무엇인가’라는 화두를 중심으로 이야기를 풀어갈 예정이다.
특히 홍길동과 임꺽정이 각각 연산군 시대와 문정왕후의 수렴청정 시대에 등장할 수밖에 없었던 역사적 배경을 재조명하면서 권력자의 폭정과 민중의 삶을 함께 담아낼 계획이다.
제작진은 이를 통해 ‘군주의 폭정은 오래가지 못한다’는 메시지와 함께 선이 악을 이긴다는 시대를 초월한 교훈을 작품에 녹여낼 방침이다.

가평 상천테마공원에서 진행된 크랭크인 촬영에서는 예언가 ‘천율신궁 담아’가 전국 팔도의 황진이들을 한자리에 불러 모아 문답을 나누는 장면이 촬영됐다.
이 장면에서 황진이들은 ‘기생이 된 이유는 무엇인가’, ‘살아가면서 느끼는 최고의 행복은 무엇인가’, ‘다시 태어난다면 어떤 사람으로 태어나고 싶은가’라는 세 가지 질문을 놓고 각자의 생각을 풀어냈다.
특히 예언가 천율신궁 담아가 제갈공명의 계자서에 등장하는 ‘비담박무이명지, 비영정무이치원(마음이 담백하지 않으면 뜻을 밝힐 수 없고, 마음이 안정되어 있지 않으면 원대한 이상을 이룰 수 없다)’이라는 대사를 전하면서 현장 분위기를 압도한 것으로 전해졌다.

예언가 천율신궁 담아를 비롯해 8도의 황진이 역에는 손정희, 강한별, 송정빈, 김진호, 신지이, 박성주 등이 출연한다.
조선 왕실과 조정 인물로는 중종 역의 이일국, 문정왕후 역의 임민지, 장경왕후 역의 고경희, 벽계수 역의 고재현, 영의정 역의 허세현, 병조판서 역의 박성천 등이 참여한다. 호위무사 역에는 박경석과 박현이 합류해 극의 긴장감을 높인다.
이번 영화 촬영은 전국 주요 지역을 순회하는 로케이션 투어 방식으로 진행되며, ‘2026 삼국시대·고려시대·조선왕조 패션어워즈’와 ‘글로벌방송문화예술대상’ 등 문화예술 행사와도 연계된다.
8일 가평 상천테마공원에서 크랭크인을 시작으로 오는 14일에는 서울 인사동 남인사마당에서 광복절 페스타가 열리고, 16~17일에는 경기 연천주조에서 촬영이 이어진다.
이어 21일에는 충남 부여 궁남지와 만리포해수욕장, 23일에는 충남 태안 연포해수욕장에서 해변 페스타가 진행된다.
오는 28일에는 더 리버사이드 호텔 몽블랑 홀 특설무대에서 피날레 행사가 마련될 예정이다.
이번 행사는 ㈜문화예술세계 행사조직위원회와 대한민국마약퇴치운동협회가 주최한다.
