Chungbuk Office of Education to Host Chungbuk Agricultural Student Festival on the 21st–22nd
The Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education will host the <55th Chungbuk Agricultural Student Festival> for two days, from Tuesday, the 21st, to Wednesday, the 22nd, at Korea Bio Meister High School and Cheongju Agricultural High School, with participation from agricultural high school students in the province.
This festival was organized to verify the skills and potential of future talents in the agricultural sector and to share the direction of AI-based future agriculture.
Under the slogan "Innovation Today for Tomorrow, Soar with AI Agriculture!", the festival will operate programs reflecting the changing trends of the agricultural industry, such as smart agriculture, the bio-industry, and climate-responsive agriculture.
A total of 204 participants, including 189 students and 15 teachers, will take part. The participating students will demonstrate their capabilities in various areas—including major-specific competitions (6 fields), project completion presentations (4 fields), practical skills competitions (7 fields), and a "Golden Bell" quiz—competing to test the problem-solving abilities and creative thinking required in actual industrial settings. The event begins with an opening ceremony, followed by competitions focused on practical skills and theory. Exchange programs, such as the "Agricultural Students' Night" and the operation of experience booths, will also be held. On the final day, awards for outstanding students will be presented, and a tour of the Smart Farm Comprehensive Experience Facility will be arranged to allow students to experience future agricultural technologies firsthand.
The Chungbuk Provincial Office of Education expects that through this festival, students will broaden their understanding of the public value and sustainability of agriculture and grow into key talents who will lead the region and the nation.
Superintendent Yoon Gun-young stated, "Agriculture is rapidly transforming into a future industry by combining with technology, and fostering the talent to lead this transformation is of paramount importance." He added, "The Office of Education will continue to provide support so that Chungbuk students can fully demonstrate the capabilities they have honed through this festival and grow into the protagonists leading the future agro-bio industry."
Meanwhile, students who achieved outstanding results in this competition will participate as representatives of Chungbuk in the <55th National Agricultural Students Festival> to be held in Daegu this coming September.
