Chungbuk Office of Education Conducts Capacity-Building Training for Middle and High School Physical Education Teachers on 'Chungbuk-style Physical Activity'
The Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education is accelerating the implementation and expansion of the "Playground Anywhere" program to promote physical activity among students and foster a healthy school culture.
From the 26th to the 27th, the Office of Education is conducting capacity-building training to revitalize the "Chungbuk-style Physical Activity Playground Anywhere" at Chungju High School, with 50 participants including middle and high school physical education teachers and supervisors from educational support offices. This training was organized to further expand the physical activity program, which has been well-received in schools, and to help teachers effectively apply it to actual classes and physical activities.
In particular, this training enhanced practicality by having current teachers who have led substantial physical education classes and school physical activities in the Chungbuk region serve as instructors. Participants shared operational case studies and know-how accumulated in various educational settings—including regular classes, school sports clubs, health and fitness classes, and marathon activities—and discussed specific implementation plans.

Teachers explored customized physical activity strategies tailored to the specific conditions of their respective schools, while the accompanying supervisors exchanged views on regional support measures for schools.
Kim Yong-in, Head of the Physical Education, Health, and Safety Division, described the training as a meaningful occasion to share diverse physical activity programs and best practices that can be immediately implemented in schools. He also pledged to provide unwavering, field-oriented support to ensure students can enjoyably participate in physical activities in their daily lives.
Meanwhile, following the training for elementary school teachers held on the 23rd, the Provincial Office of Education is focusing on expanding the "Chungbuk-style Physical Activity Playground Anywhere" initiative by consecutively hosting this training for middle and high school teachers. The office plans to continue operating various related programs, including the "Moving Relay Challenge," to encourage students' healthy participation in physical activities.
