Cheongju Youth Arts Stirring… The 26th Cheongju Youth Harmony Arts Festival Concludes Successfully

The "26th Cheongju Youth Harmony Arts Festival," where the artistic talents and passion of youth in the Cheongju region could be witnessed, has successfully concluded its three-day schedule. Hosted by the Cheongju Federation of Arts and Culture, the event took place from the 8th to the 10th at the Cheongju Arts Center and various locations throughout the city, with middle and high school students—who will lead the region's future culture and arts—participating and showcasing their skills to the fullest.

A total of 644 students from 50 schools, including 30 middle schools and 20 high schools, participated in this festival, engaging in fierce competitions across eight categories: Korean traditional music, dance, literature, fine arts, photography, theater, entertainment, and music. Notably, the photography category, newly introduced last year, saw a significant increase in participants this year, vividly demonstrating the evolving artistic interests of the youth. The list of winners, including gold, silver, and bronze medalists, has been released on the Cheongju Federation of Arts and Culture website.

Cheongju Youth Arts and Culture Moon Gil-gon, President of the Cheongju Federation of Arts and Culture, emphasized that the participation of youth is essential for the succession of pure and traditional arts, and expressed his hope that this competition would serve as a valuable foundation for building the future of local art, allowing students to discover their dreams and build confidence.

Meanwhile, students who achieved excellent results and won awards in this competition will represent the Cheongju region at the ‘26th Chungbuk Youth Unity Arts Festival,’ which will be held for three days starting July 8, where they will compete once again against students from other regions within the province.
