Jeonnam Human Resources & Lifelong Education Promotion Agency Holds Craft Experience Volunteer Service for Children of Foreign Workers in Yeongam
Local Craftsmen and Employees Join Forces to Experience Making Paper Fans and Keychains… Gifting a Sense of Achievement; Acting Director Shim Young-hee: “We Will Support the Growth of Local Talent by Expanding Inclusive Educational Opportunities for All”
(Muan = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = The Jeonnam Human Resources & Lifelong Education Promotion Agency organized a heartwarming sharing event to provide cultural experience opportunities to the children of foreign workers in the region and to practice inclusive educational welfare free from exclusion.
The Agency announced that it successfully held a "Craft Experience Volunteer Activity" for the children of local foreign workers at the Yeongam County Foreign Resident Support Center on the 13th.
This volunteer activity was planned to help children from multicultural families and foreign workers experience diverse craft cultures, naturally communicate with members of the local community, and form bonds. Craft artist Lee Mi-seon, who is active in the Yeongam region, and employees of the Jeonnam Human Resources & Lifelong Education Promotion Agency participated on-site, acting as one-day mentors for the children.
The children participating in the program on this day spent time making their own unique fans and keychains using paper. As they completed their works with their fingertips, the children not only deepened their familiarity with craft culture but also expressed a deep sense of accomplishment and joy in having achieved something on their own.
Shim Young-hee, Acting Director of the Jeonnam Human Resources and Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, stated, “I hope the learning and enjoyment the children experienced today will lead to healthy self-confidence and serve as a solid foundation for them to grow into outstanding local talents.” She added, “We will continue to work closely with the local community to expand lifelong education opportunities so that no one is left behind.”
Meanwhile, detailed information on the various talent development programs and lifelong education projects promoted by the Jeonnam Human Resources and Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, as well as how to participate, can be found on the official website.
