(Muan = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-su = South Jeolla Province has set out to establish a comprehensive response posture to minimize gaps in administrative services ahead of the official launch of the Integrated Special City on July 1.
South Jeolla Province announced that it held the ‘7th Meeting to Review the Progress of Major Integration Tasks’ on the 5th at the Seojaepil Room in the Provincial Office, presided over by Vice Governor Hwang Ki-yeon. This meeting was organized to conduct a final review of key tasks that must be resolved before the launch and to prevent confusion in the public service sector. At the meeting, attended by all provincial bureau and department heads, the progress of essential tasks to be completed prior to the launch was discussed in detail, categorized by area of responsibility, including the integration of administrative and information systems, the revision of local ordinances, and the maintenance of guide signs closely related to daily life, such as those on roads and rivers.

He added, “If service is inevitably suspended due to system transitions or other reasons, the duration of the suspension and alternative means of use must be clearly announced to residents in advance to minimize confusion.”

At this event, the province plans to provide detailed explanations regarding 480 essential ordinances that must be deliberated and approved by the council on the launch day, July 1, and to seek active cooperation from the council.
