이번 추가 접수는 지난 2~3월 진행된 정기 신청 기간에 개인 사정 등으로 신청을 마치지 못한 농어민들에게 수혜 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
신청 대상은 농어업·임업 경영정보를 등록한 경영체의 경영주 또는 공동경영주다. 자격 요건은 2025년 1월 1일 이전부터 전남에 주소를 두고 1년 이상 계속해서 농어업·임업에 종사하고 있는 사람이어야 한다.
신청 희망자는 기간 내에 주소지 관할 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문하여 접수하면 된다.
각 시·군은 신청 접수가 완료되면 거주 여부 및 실제 경작 사실 확인 등 엄격한 검증 절차를 거쳐 최종 지급 대상자를 확정할 방침이다.
지급 대상자로 확정된 농어민에게는 6월 말까지 경영체당 70만 원 상당의 지역화폐가 지급된다. 이를 통해 농가 경영에 보탬이 되는 것은 물론, 지역 자금 유출을 막아 지역 경제 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
농어민 공익수당은 전남도가 농어업의 공익적 가치를 인정하고 지속 가능한 농어촌 환경을 조성하기 위해 지난 2020년 전국 최초로 도입한 제도다.
