(브레이크뉴스 전남광주) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시교육청이 청소년들의 창의적인 창업 아이디어를 발굴하고 미래 창업가로서의 역량을 키우기 위한 ‘대한민국 청소년 창업경진대회’ 전남·광주 지역 예선을 각각 개최한다.
교육부와 17개 시·도교육청이 주최하고 한국청년기업가정신재단이 주관하는 이번 대회는 전국 단위 행사로, 인공지능(AI) 등 첨단기술을 활용한 혁신적인 창업 아이디어를 겨루는 장이다. 청소년들의 창의적 문제해결 능력과 도전정신을 함양하기 위해 마련됐다.
광주 지역 예선은 지난 3일 광주대학교 행정관에서 성황리에 진행됐다. 이번 예선은 지난 7월 사업계획서를 제출한 34개 팀 중 1차 서류심사를 통과한 21개 팀을 대상으로 발표심사를 실시했다. 참가 학생들은 팀별로 3분간 창업 아이디어와 사업계획을 발표한 뒤, 3분 동안 심사위원단과의 질의응답을 거쳤다.
창업 분야 전문가 5명으로 구성된 심사위원단은 ▲아이디어의 혁신성 및 사회·경제적 가치 ▲도전정신 ▲팀원 간 협력과 자원 활용 ▲사업계획의 구체성과 성장 가능성 등을 종합적으로 평가했다. 치열한 경합 끝에 최종 중·고등학생 4개 팀이 본선 진출권을 획득했다.
이어지는 전남 지역 예선은 오는 24일 순천만생태문화교육원에서 열린다. 총 27개 신청 팀 가운데 1차 서류심사를 통과한 팀을 대상으로 2차 발표심사가 진행될 예정이다.
지역 예선을 거쳐 본선에 진출한 팀들은 향후 창업 아이디어와 사업계획을 한층 보완하는 심층 멘토링 프로그램에 참여하게 된다. 이후 오는 10월 29일 서울 양재 aT센터에서 열리는 ‘2026년 대한민국 청소년 창업경진대회’ 결선 무대에 올라 전국 학생들과 기량을 겨룰 예정이다.
