(브레이크뉴스 전남광주) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시가 오랜 경험과 연구를 바탕으로 독창적인 유기농업 기술을 보유하고 친환경 농업 발전에 기여한 농업인을 발굴하기 위해 ‘2026년 전남광주통합특별시 유기농 명인’을 선발한다.
유기농 명인 지정제는 친환경 농업인의 자긍심을 높이고 우수한 유기농 기술을 확산하기 위해 지난 2011년 전국 최초로 도입된 제도다.
지정 대상은 식량작물(벼 제외), 원예작물, 특용작물, 축산, 기타 등 5개 분야다. 3천300㎡ 이상의 유기식품 인증을 7년 이상 유지하면서 저비용·독창적 유기농업 실천 기술을 직접 개발하고 보유한 지역 농업인을 대상으로 한다.
후보자 모집은 오는 9월 2일까지 진행된다. 각 시·군에서 추천한 농업인을 대상으로 서류심사와 현장평가, 친환경농업추진위원회의 최종 심의를 거쳐 오는 10월 최종 지정할 예정이다.
참여를 희망하는 농업인은 전남광주통합특별시 누리집(홈페이지) 고시·공고란에서 신청서류를 확인한 뒤, 구비서류를 갖춰 등기우편 또는 전자우편으로 접수하면 된다.
유기농 명인으로 지정되면 다양한 혜택이 주어진다. 전남광주통합특별시가 추진하는 친환경 과수·채소 전문단지 조성사업 등 명인 전용 지원사업에 참여할 수 있는 기회가 제공된다. 또한, 명인이 생산한 농식품에는 전남광주 유기농 명인 공식 브랜드인 ‘명인드림’ 상표를 사용할 수 있으며, 농장에는 명인 안내판과 현판이 설치된다.
