행정심판위원회는 행정청의 위법·부당한 처분이나 부작위로 인해 권익을 침해받은 시민의 사건을 공정하고 객관적으로 심리·의결하는 준사법적 권익구제기구다. 행정의 적법성을 확보하고 국민 권익을 보호하는 핵심 역할을 담당하고 있다.
특히 이번 공모는 통합특별시 출범 이후 처음으로 구성되는 행정심판위원회인 만큼, 전문성과 공정성을 두루 갖춘 인재들을 중심으로 구성하기 위해 마련됐다. 선발 규모는 총 48명 이내다.
모집 분야는 ▲변호사 31~33명 ▲교수 등 전문가 10명 ▲전문의 5~7명 등이며, 위촉된 위원들의 임기는 오는 2026년 8월부터 2년간이다.
응모 자격은 ‘행정심판법’ 제7조 제4항에 따른 자격 요건을 충족해야 한다. 구체적으로는 ▲변호사 자격 취득 후 5년 이상의 실무 경험이 있는 사람 ▲‘고등교육법’에 따른 학교에서 조교수 이상으로 재직하거나 재직했던 사람 ▲박사학위를 취득한 후 해당 분야에서 5년 이상 근무한 경험이 있는 사람 등이다.
