【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군과 음성군체육회가 오는 8월 17일부터 22일까지 6일간 음성종합운동장에서 ‘2026 상상대로 음성 전국사이클대회’를 개최한다.
올해부터는 음성군의 도시브랜드를 적극 반영하여 대회 명칭을 ‘상상대로 음성 전국사이클대회’로 새롭게 변경했다. 이를 통해 스포츠를 활용한 도시 브랜드 홍보 효과를 극대화한다는 구상이다.
대회 일정도 기존 5일에서 6일로 늘어났다. 17일부터 21일까지는 엘리트 대회가 열리며, 마지막 날인 22일에는 생활체육 동호인이 참가하는 ‘마스터즈 음성투어’가 진행된다. 일정이 확대됨에 따라 선수들의 경기 운영 여건이 크게 개선되었으며, 엘리트 선수와 동호인이 함께 즐기는 전국 규모의 축제로 치러질 전망이다.
