[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 23일 시청 컨벤션홀에서 제12기 여성친화도시 시민참여단 위촉식과 역량강화 워크숍을 진행했다.
이번 시민참여단은 신규 단원 24명을 포함해 총 51명으로 구성됐으며 앞으로 지역 공공 인프라에 대한 성인지적 모니터링과 여성 및 돌봄 관련 정책 제안 활동을 수행한다.
역량강화 교육은 전문가 특강과 단원 주도형 참여 워크숍으로 꾸려졌다. 참석자들은 여성친화도시의 주요 개념과 5대 조성 목표를 학습하고 타 지자체의 우수 사례를 분석하며 정책 파트너로서의 전문성을 쌓았다. 또한 성인지 감수성 향상을 위한 팀 활동을 통해 단원 간 결속력을 다지는 시간을 가졌다.
여성친화도시는 양성평등기본법에 따라 지역 정책 과정에 양성이 평등하게 참여하도록 여성가족부가 5년 단위로 지정한다. 용인특례시는 2013년 최초 지정된 이후 2023년 세 번째 협약을 맺었으며 성평등 정책 기반 구축과 지역사회 안전 증진을 위한 시책을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.
