【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 본격적인 여름 휴가철을 맞아 피서객들의 안전을 지키고 야간 물놀이 사고 사각지대를 완전히 없애기 위해 민·관 합동 예찰 활동을 대폭 강화한다.
옥천군은 지역 지리에 밝고 기동력이 뛰어난 옥천군 자율방범대와 협력 체계를 구축하고, 물놀이 안전 취약 시간대인 오후 6시부터 8시까지 관내 주요 하천과 계곡을 대상으로 집중 순찰을 펼친다고 밝혔다.
그동안 군은 관내 주요 물놀이 관리지역 및 위험구역 23개소에 안전관리요원을 배치해 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 상시 근무 체계를 가동해 왔다. 하지만 안전관리요원이 철수한 이후인 저녁 시간대에 자칫 안전 공백이 발생할 수 있다는 지적이 나옴에 따라, 자율방범대와 뜻을 모아 야간 집중 순찰조를 가동하기로 결정했다.
