[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 산청군이 정부의 공공기관 2차 이전 추진에 선제적인 대응에 나섰다.
군은 지난 30일 경남도 서부청사를 찾아 공공기관 2차 이전에 대한 대응 방향을 논의했다.
이번 방문은 경남도와의 협력체계를 강화해 산청군의 유치 기반을 다지고 주요 현안사업의 추진 동력을 확보하기 위해 마련됐다.
이를 위해 경남도 공공기관이전추진단과 산림관리과 등 관련 부서를 찾아 공공기관 이전 추진 방향과 지역 현안사업 추진 상황 등을 협의했다.
특히 경남도가 유치 목표로 하고 있는 기관 가운데 산청군의 지역 여건과 특성에 부합하는 기관을 중심으로 유치 필요성과 당위성을 설명하고 맞춤 전략을 제시했다.
또 향후 공공기관 2차 이전 추진 과정에서 산청군의 입지 여건과 경쟁력을 적극 알렸다.
산림관리과 방문에서는 지리산권 관광 활성화를 위한 백두대간 핵심구역 내 규제 개선 필요성을 설명하고 관련 법령 개정 사항을 건의하는 등 실질적인 협력 방안을 모색했다.
산청군 관계자는 “공공기관 2차 이전은 지역 균형발전과 산청군의 미래 성장 기반 확충을 위한 중요한 기회”라며 “공공기관 유치와 지역 현안사업이 실질적인 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
