민 후보는 후보 등록 직후 소회를 통해 “시민이 맡겨주신 힘으로 검찰개혁의 거센 파도를 넘었고, 단식과 탄핵의 강을 건넜다”며 “이재명 정부 출범과 대한민국 정상화를 향한 과정 역시 주권자 시민이 있었기에 가능했다”고 밝혔다.
