[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 더불어민주당 부산시당 비위공직자 대응 특별위원회가 부산 북구갑 국회의원 선거와 관련한 허위사실 공표 및 딥페이크 영상 유포 의혹을 중앙선거관리위원회에 신고하고, 부산시 선관위에 신속한 처리를 요청했다.
비위공직자 대응 특별위원회는 29일 부산 북구갑 국회의원 선거와 관련된 공직선거법 위반 의심 사례 2건을 중앙선거관리위원회에 신고하고, 부산광역시 선거관리위원회에 신속한 처리를 촉구하는 공문을 발송했다고 밝혔다.
특위는 공문에서 선거 과열 상황과 임박한 선거 일정을 언급하며 “신고된 위반행위에 대한 신속한 처리와 공정한 선거 관리에 만전을 기해달라”고 요청했다. 또한 부산시장 선거와 동구·중구 등 여러 지역에서도 유사한 위법 사례가 접수되고 있다며 선관위의 엄정한 대응을 촉구했다.
앞서 특위는 중앙선관위에 제출한 신고서를 통해 ▲한동훈 후보의 유세 중 허위사실 공표 의혹 ▲유튜브 채널 ‘위키트리’의 하정우 후보 관련 딥페이크 영상 게시 의혹을 제기했다.
특위에 따르면 한 후보는 지난 25일 유세에서 하 후보가 선거 공보물에 얼굴을 싣지 않았다는 취지로 발언했으나, 실제 공보물에는 다양한 사진이 포함된 것으로 확인됐다.
또한 특위는 ‘위키트리’가 하 후보와 유사한 인물에 자막을 덧씌운 딥페이크 영상을 게시해 사실과 다른 내용을 유포했다며 중대한 선거법 위반이라고 주장했다.
이철우 위원장은 “객관적으로 확인 가능한 자료를 왜곡하거나 인공지능 기반 딥페이크로 선거의 진실성을 훼손하는 행위는 민주주의 근간을 흔드는 중대한 범죄”라며 “선관위가 지체 없이 신속하게 처리해야 한다”고 밝혔다.
민주당 부산시당은 향후에도 선거를 혼탁하게 만드는 불법 행위에 대해 무관용 원칙으로 대응할 방침이라고 덧붙였다.

Committee Chairman **Lee Cheol-woo** stated, "Distorting objectively verifiable information or undermining the integrity of elections through AI-generated deepfakes is a serious crime that threatens the foundations of democracy. The Election Commission must act without delay and handle the matter swiftly."
The Busan chapter of the Democratic Party added that it intends to continue responding to illegal activities that undermine the fairness of elections under a zero-tolerance policy.
