고양연구원이 시민이 직접 참여하는 연구사업의 추진 상황을 살펴보는 자리를 마련했다.

고양연구원은 지난달 31일 원내에서 관련 중간보고회를 열어 그동안 진행돼 온 연구 상황을 두루 살폈다고 전했으며 이날 자리에는 해당 사업에 참여 중인 연구자들을 비롯해 시민의 목소리 위원회 6기 위원, 연구심의평가위원회 위원, 연구자문위원 등 관계자들이 두루 모였다.
시민 참여형 연구사업은 올해 5월 공모 절차를 거쳐 뽑힌 세 가지 과제를 축으로 진행 중이며 세부적으로는 고양특례시의 생태계서비스 지불제를 넓히는 방안을 다룬 연구, 고양종합운동장에서 열리는 대형공연 유치가 지역경제에 미치는 파급효과를 살펴보는 분석, 그리고 고양시 청년 공연예술가들에게 연습 공간을 지원해 지역과의 상생을 도모하는 방안 등 세 갈래이고 앞서 열린 착수보고회에 뒤이은 이날 자리에서는 각 과제의 진척도가 공유되고, 결과물 완성도를 끌어올리기 위한 여러 조언이 오갔다.
참석 연구자들은 저마다 맡은 과제의 접근 방식과 앞으로 이어갈 계획을 소개했으며, 이를 두고 참석자들 간 활발한 의견 교환이 이뤄졌고 시민의 목소리 위원회 쪽에서는 시민 연구자들이 도출한 결과물이 고양시의 장기적 발전과 주민 생활 여건 개선에 실질적으로 보탬이 되는 정책으로 이어지기를 희망한다는 뜻을 전했다.
