[Break News Gyeonggi South = Suwon, Reporter Lee Hyun-jun] Gyeonggi Province announced that 44.5% of graduates from the 2025 Gyeonggi Re-challenge School succeeded in finding employment or starting a business an average of eight months after completing the program.

The survey results showed that 80 out of 118 job seekers and 9 out of 82 entrepreneurs successfully made a second attempt and are currently active. The Gyeonggi Re-challenge School is a lifelong education program that supports residents who have experienced failure through psychological healing and expert coaching; last year, 200 people participated, recording a high competition rate.

The program is structured to provide practical encouragement, ranging from healing processes for psychological recovery to analysis of the causes of failure and customized career planning. After completion, it provides one-stop services ranging from counseling to financial support through partnerships with related organizations such as the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, the Gyeonggi Market and Commercial District Promotion Agency, and the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation. Gyeonggi Province is expanding the number of trainees to 250 this year and is currently recruiting trainees for the 2nd and 3rd cohorts.

This achievement demonstrates that Gyeonggi Province's lifelong education policy, which aims to transform failure from an individual mistake into a social asset, is proving effective. Such success stories are expected to give residents who have experienced failure hope that they can rise again, while also contributing to the restoration of regional economic dynamism.
