The company is cited for mass-producing HBM to boost global AI computing

SK hynix announced on April 26 that it received the Corporate Innovation Award at the ‘2026 IEEE Awards’ Honors Ceremony held in New York, USA, on April 24 (local time).
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s most prestigious organization of technology experts, dedicated to pursuing technological innovation for the advancement of humanity. The ‘IEEE Awards,’ hosted by this organization, is an awards ceremony with a history of over 100 years that selects winners in three categories—Medals, Technical Field Awards, and Recognitions—for their contributions to technological innovation and social development.
The Corporate Innovation Award, which is part of the Recognitions category, has been presented since 1986 to companies that have contributed to industrial and social development with innovative technology. This is the first time SK hynix has received this award.
The company stated, “We were recognized for our contribution to revitalizing the global AI computing ecosystem by stably mass-producing all generations of HBM,” and “By providing a crucial memory solution that overcomes the performance limitations of AI platforms, we will establish ourselves as a trusted partner in the global AI market.”
Ahn Hyun, President and Chief Development Officer (CDO), attended the ceremony as the company’s representative and accepted the award.
President Ahn said, “It is an honor to receive this award on behalf of the members of SK hynix, who have continuously challenged and overcome technological limitations,” and “By closely collaborating with our global customers and partners to preemptively create the value that the market demands, we will become a first-class company leading AI innovation.”
