SK chemicals has launched a coin-sized version of its Trast pain relief patch line.
The company said Thursday that it released Trast Coin Plaster, a small topical patch for localized pain areas.

Trast Coin Plaster is an over-the-counter medication containing methyl salicylate, a topical pain-relief ingredient. Measuring 2.8 centimeters in diameter, the patch is intended for small pain areas such as bruises, muscle pain and shoulder stiffness.
The compact size also allows the patch to be applied to mobile body parts such as wrists, ankles, shoulders and knees, where larger patches may detach more easily. Each package contains 30 patches.
With the launch, SK chemicals has expanded its Trast pain relief patch lineup, which includes products for different pain areas and uses.
The Trast portfolio includes the piroxicam-based Trast Patch, diclofenac-based products Trast Dipen and Ruby Plaster, and the ketoprofen-based Trast Finger Plaster.
SK chemicals said the new product reflects growing demand for patches targeting localized pain, including wrist discomfort associated with increased smartphone use.
The product will be sold through a co-promotion partnership with Kyungnam Pharm, which will distribute it to pharmacies across Korea.
