Seegene, a molecular diagnostics company, said it showcased its STAgora data analytics platform and CURECA automated PCR system at ESCMID Global 2026 in Munich, Germany, from April 17 to 21.
At the congress, Seegene introduced STAgora, a data analytics platform designed to connect and analyze PCR testing data globally in real time. The system allows laboratories and clinicians to monitor infection trends by integrating fragmented diagnostic data into a unified analysis.

STAgora enables healthcare professionals to compare individual test results with global infection data, shifting diagnostics from data collection to real-time analysis, the company said.
CURECA also drew attention for its automation capabilities, including full workflow integration from sample loading to result analysis through a modular, unmanned design. Attendees focused on its ability to reduce manual preprocessing and adapt to different laboratory settings, Seegene said.
Industry experts responded positively to the combination of automated diagnostics and data-driven analytics, noting that it could improve operational efficiency and data utilization in molecular diagnostics. The impact is expected to be greater when combined with syndromic PCR testing, which detects multiple pathogens simultaneously.
“Combining automated testing and real-time analytics will improve understanding of infection dynamics,” said Baek Young-seok, Executive Vice President and Head of New Business at Seegene. “As data grows and connects, diagnostics will expand.”
Seegene said the event provided insight into evolving diagnostic needs in Europe and North America.
Eric Pryjda, head of Seegene France, said demand in Europe is rising for rapid, accurate diagnostics as laboratories seek more efficient workflows and automation.
James Yantzi, head of Seegene Canada, said increasing testing volumes in North America are driving demand for efficiency, with automation and integrated systems playing a key role.
A German hospital representative said comparing individual test results with regional infection trends could provide a clearer understanding of infection dynamics, describing the approach as “refreshing.”
Ninad Mehta, a clinical microbiologist with a Canadian public health agency, said automation helps reduce manual errors and improve consistency in laboratory testing.
Seegene said it plans to accelerate global expansion of STAgora and complete development of CURECA ahead of commercialization.
