Neurophet, a company specializing in AI for the diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases, announced Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Alzheimer’s Network for Treatment and Diagnostics (ALZ-NET) in the United States.
This MOU will help medical professionals in ALZ-NET improve care for Alzheimer’s disease patients. Both parties plan to raise awareness of the importance of ARIA (Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities) monitoring, explore how medical institutions can adopt Neurophet’s key products, and expand clinical applications, the company said.

This collaboration will use Neurophet’s key solutions, including Neurophet AQUA, a brain neurodegeneration image-analysis software; Neurophet SCALE PET, a PET (positron emission tomography) image-quantification software; and Neurophet AQUA AD Plus, a comprehensive brain imaging analysis solution for prescribing Alzheimer’s disease treatments.
Neurophet AQUA, Neurophet SCALE PET, and Neurophet AQUA AD Plus have obtained 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company expects that many medical institutions treating Alzheimer’s disease and neuroimaging facilities participating in ALZ-NET will use Neurophet’s key products going forward.
The U.S. Alzheimer's Association (AA) sponsors ALZ-NET, and the American College of Radiology (ACR) operates and manages it. ALZ-NET serves as a network for Alzheimer’s treatment and diagnosis, collecting and analyzing clinical and imaging data from patients who receive FDA-approved Alzheimer’s drugs at voluntarily participating medical institutions. Through this initiative, ALZ-NET supports the development and standardization of clinical evidence for the treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
Ana Franceschi, MD, Ph.D, is a core member of the ALZ-NET Imaging Working Group and Chair of the ACR Committee on Neuroimaging Research. She stated, “I am pleased to be collaborating to introduce Neurophet’s innovative brain imaging analysis solutions to ALZ-NET participating institutions.” She added, “As Alzheimer’s disease treatments continue to advance, strengthening the imaging infrastructure across the network is essential to providing patients with a high standard of care.”
Neurophet Co-CEO Been Jun-kil remarked, “It is meaningful that, through this agreement, Neurophet can help build the imaging-based monitoring infrastructure needed for the era of Alzheimer’s disease treatments. With close collaboration with ALZ-NET, we will help improve the quality of the Alzheimer’s disease treatment ecosystem in the United States.”
