Hugel said Wednesday it is strengthening its push into Taiwan, one of Asia’s five largest botulinum toxin markets, as part of its strategy to expand its medical aesthetics business in the region.

The company said it participated in AMWC ASIA & TDAC 2026, held from May 2 to 3 at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taiwan.
AMWC ASIA & TDAC, or the Aesthetic & Anti-aging Medicine World Congress and Taiwan Dermatology Aesthetic Conference, is an international academic congress where physicians and industry officials from Asia and other regions share the latest treatment trends and clinical experiences in aesthetic medicine. This year’s event drew more than 2,000 visitors, according to Hugel.
At the congress, Hugel showcased its full product portfolio, including its botulinum toxin Letybo, hyaluronic acid filler Revolax, and cosmetics brands Byryzn BR and Wellage.
The company explained that it drew strong interest from local physicians by highlighting the strengths of each product and the advantages of combination treatments. Hugel also promoted a bundling strategy linking its botulinum toxin, filler and cosmetics products, while holding meetings with visitors to explore new business opportunities.
Taiwan has been one of Hugel’s key overseas markets. The company has built a direct distribution system through its Taiwan subsidiary and has steadily expanded its presence since launching Letybo there in 2019.
Hugel’s market share in Taiwan rose from about 10 percent in the first year of launch to about 30 percent last year, solidifying its position as the second-largest player in the local botulinum toxin market.
“Through our participation in this event, we reaffirmed our network with local physicians in Taiwan and the competitiveness of our brand,” Hugel CEO Jang Doo-hyun said. “Based on a bundling strategy with fillers and cosmetics, we will strengthen the competitiveness of our product portfolio and aim to become the No. 1 player in the Taiwanese market.”
