Hanmi Pharmaceutical announced on April 28 that it presented research findings from 9 studies on 8 new drug candidates at the ‘American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2026’, held in San Diego, USA, from April 17 to 22 (local time).

The anticancer pipeline presented by Hanmi Pharmaceutical at the conference is broadly classified into three categories: ▲targeted anticancer drugs that selectively modulate specific proteins highly expressed only in cancer cells; ▲next-generation modality-based targeted anticancer drugs; and ▲next-generation modality-based immuno-oncology drugs that activate the body’s immune cells to induce an anti-tumor response.

First, in the targeted anticancer drug category, research findings were disclosed for new drug candidates with diverse targets and mechanistic differentiation, including: ▲EZH1/2 dual inhibitor (HM97662), ▲selective HER2 inhibitor (HM100714), and ▲SOS1-KRAS interaction inhibitor (HM101207).

In the category of next-generation modality-based targeted anticancer drugs, research results were presented for ▲an EP300 selective degrader, an oral new drug that applies Hanmi’s new ‘Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD)’ platform technology.

In the category of next-generation modality-based immuno-oncology drugs, research achievements were introduced for a pipeline based on next-generation multi-specific antibodies. These included ▲a STING mRNA anticancer new drug, ▲a p53 mRNA anticancer new drug, and projects led by Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical, such as ▲the 4-1BB x PD-L1 bispecific antibody (BH3120) and ▲the B7H3 x PD-L1 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) (BH4601).

“At this year’s AACR event, we were able to widely publicize Hanmi’s R&D technological competitiveness and received high praise for our capabilities,” said Choi In-young, Head of R&D Center at Hanmi Pharmaceutical. “Moving forward, we will continue to secure innovative growth engines through differentiated technological convergence and strategic research and development.”
