[Korea Lecturer News Columnist Choi Ju-ri] When 'Altair' wine was first launched in 2004, it carried the meaning that "a new star of Chile has been born." Targeting the top 6% of customers, Altair is a winery established through a joint venture between Chile's San Pedro and France's Château Dassault of Saint-Émilion, and it was named after 'Altair,' the clearest and brightest star in the constellation Aquila.
▣ Tips for Utilizing Business Wine Stories
1. This is a good wine to use when starting a new project, such as celebrating a new business, merger, or collaboration.
2. It is good to use comments such as, “Congratulations on the start of the new project between the two companies. I hope for the most brilliant results in the industry,” or “I hope that this new project will one day rise to the highest leading position in the industry.”
▣ About 'Altair' Wine
'Altair' is a wine from Viña San Pedro, the producer of the domestically renowned Chilean wine 1865. San Pedro manufactures a premium line of wines under the name GVSP (Grandes Vinos de San Pedro), and 'Altair' is one of GVSP's representative iconic wines. To create the ultimate iconic wines, skilled employees meticulously handle everything from grape harvesting to labeling. As a result, Altair has received high marks from world-famous wine critics and experts.
With the hope that the diverse terroir of the Cachapoal Andes Valley, known for its barren volcanic soil, meets the winemaking expertise of Château Dassault, a Grand Cru from France's Saint-Émilion region, a premium wine has been created and named after Altair (the constellation Aquila), the brightest and most radiant star among those filling the Andes Mountains, in the desire to become a rising star of Chile. Altair, or the constellation Aquila, is also known in the East as the "Star of the Cowherd," which appears in the story of Gyeonu and Jiknyeon.
It delicately exudes deep, dark fruit aromas such as blackcurrant and raspberry, as well as complex notes of violet, oak, vanilla, and cigar. It is a wine with attractive soft tannins and concentration. It boasts a distinguished history of awards, including 95 points for the 2020 vintage from James Suckling, 96 points for the 2018 vintage from Tim Akin, and 94 points from Decanter for the 2018 vintage. Vivino rating: 4.4
