Celltrion said Thursday that it presented new clinical data for its autoimmune disease treatment CT-P13 SC at the Digestive Disease Week (DDW) 2026, held in Chicago from Saturday to Tuesday (local time). CT-P13 SC (infliximab) is sold as Remsima SC in Korea and as Zymfentra in the United States.
The presentation further strengthened the product’s competitiveness and drew positive feedback from global medical professionals, Celltrion said.
DDW is regarded as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious academic conferences in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy, attracting more than 13,000 experts annually to share the latest clinical research findings and treatment trends in digestive diseases.
At this year’s event, Celltrion operated an independent exhibition booth and conducted a broad range of academic and marketing activities, including two poster presentations, a symposium and a Product Theater session.

On the opening day of the conference, the company unveiled for the first time the 44-week results from a phase 3 clinical trial of CT-P13 SC conducted in Japan involving patients with Crohn’s disease (CD). According to the findings, patients who had achieved clinical remission with the conventional intravenous (IV) formulation maintained favorable tolerability and safety after switching to the subcutaneous (SC) formulation. The results further demonstrated the convenience, efficacy and safety profile of CT-P13 SC.
Celltrion also presented a post-hoc analysis of the global 102-week phase 3 trial involving patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (UC). In the study, patients who had discontinued IV treatment and received a placebo for at least 16 weeks were administered CT-P13 SC 240 mg. The results showed rapid recovery of clinical response and sustained efficacy through week 102.
The company said the findings suggest that high-dose CT-P13 SC could serve as an effective treatment strategy for patients experiencing unavoidable treatment gaps, extending its value beyond a simple formulation switch. The presentation drew strong interest from attending physicians, it added.
On Sunday, Celltrion also hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) symposium titled “Subcutaneous Therapies in IBD: Evidence, Patient Selection, and Practical Approaches to Optimizing Outcomes.” During the session, global experts in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) discussed strategies to optimize SC therapies in line with the latest treatment guidelines and real-world clinical data, attracting significant attention from healthcare professionals.
On the final day of the conference, the company held a Product Theater session titled “Understanding Zymfentra: The only FDA-approved subcutaneous infliximab offering a different therapeutic approach in UC and CD maintenance.” The session highlighted Zymfentra’s differentiated therapeutic approach in maintenance therapy for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
Celltrion said the newly presented data, along with its growing body of clinical evidence, are expected to further strengthen physician confidence in CT-P13 SC. Driven by accumulated clinical data, CT-P13 SC generated 839.4 billion won ($579.1 million) in global sales last year, representing approximately 40 percent growth from 2024. The company expects annual sales to surpass 1 trillion won this year.
The strong growth has been supported by notable performance in key markets, including Europe and the United States. In the five major European markets (EU5), CT-P13 SC reached a 30 percent market share for the first time in the third quarter of last year. In the U.S., Zymfentra recorded its highest-ever monthly prescription volume in January, rising more than threefold, or 213 percent, from a year earlier.
“Through DDW, one of the world’s leading gastroenterology conferences, we were able to once again demonstrate the strong efficacy and safety profile of CT-P13 SC and directly experience the strong trust of global medical professionals,” a Celltrion official said. “We will continue securing robust clinical data that reflects real-world medical needs while implementing differentiated, tailored marketing strategies to further accelerate prescription growth worldwide.”
