이번 통합으로 호남선과 전라선의 운행 횟수와 좌석이 대폭 늘어난다.
호남선: 주중(월~목) 하루 운행 횟수가 기존 95회에서 100회로, 주말(금~일)은 96회에서 100회로 확대된다. 이에 따라 하루 기준 주중 3,742석, 주말 4,822석의 좌석이 추가 공급된다.
