Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education Holds '26 Job Fair Combining On-site Interviews and Mentoring
The Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education held the 2026 Chungbuk Education Vocational High School Job Fair at the Gaesin Cultural Center of Chungbuk National University to strengthen the employment capabilities of vocational high school students in the province and expand recruitment linkages with excellent local companies.
This fair saw the participation of approximately 1,500 vocational high school students, along with 42 companies and 13 related organizations. Various programs, including recruitment interviews, career counseling, and career experience activities, were conducted on-site, providing students with the opportunity to meet leading local companies in person and concretely plan their career paths and employment. The venue was richly decorated with a total of about 80 booths divided into five themes: Corporate Recruitment Hall, Related Organization Promotion Hall, Alumni Mentoring Hall, Employment Support and Experience Hall, and Startup Club Hall.
In particular, promising companies such as DB HiTek, Nepes, and Stats ChipPAC Korea participated in the Corporate Recruitment Hall, conducting corporate promotions and on-site interviews simultaneously. Stats ChipPAC Korea conducted both written exams and interviews for participation in the Chungbuk-type recruitment-linked field training program, while Nepes also opened up opportunities for actual hiring through on-site interviews. A third-year student from Cheongju Industrial High School who participated in the on-site interview shared their thoughts, stating that it was very meaningful to be able to interview directly with a semiconductor company they had always been interested in, and that it served as a good opportunity to concretely set their career preparation direction.
In addition, the related organizations' promotional booths featured participation from the Cheongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cheongju Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, providing information on various youth support programs. Meanwhile, the employment support and experience booths offered practical job preparation programs, such as personal color analysis and ID photo shooting, which received a great response from the students. Furthermore, the mentoring booth, featuring vocational high school graduates currently employed at companies like Samsung Electronics and Korea Aerospace Industries, and the startup club booth, showcasing startup items developed directly by students, also drew attention. An official from the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education stated that this job fair is a meaningful occasion where students and companies can meet directly to assess each other's potential and envision the future together, adding that they will continue to strengthen vocational education and expand cooperation with outstanding local companies to ensure that learning in school leads to the industrial field.
