【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청이 유아가 놀이와 일상 속에서 자신의 생각과 감정을 자연스럽게 표현하며 성장할 수 있도록 유치원 교원의 교육과정 운영 및 생활지도 역량 강화에 나섰다.
충북교육청은 29일 메리다 컨벤션에서 도내 공·사립 유치원 교원과 교육전문직원 250여 명을 대상으로 ‘2026 유치원 교원 역량강화 연수’를 운영했다.
이번 연수는 유아의 삶과 놀이를 중심에 둔 예술교육과 공감 중심 생활지도가 유치원 현장에 자연스럽게 확산될 수 있도록 오전과 오후 세션으로 나누어 진행됐다.
오전 연수에서는 부산대학교 김지윤 교수가 ‘예술, 교육에 스며들다’를 주제로 강연을 펼쳤다. 김 교수는 유아예술교육이 단순히 작품을 만드는 활동에 그치는 것이 아니라, 놀이와 생활 속에서 유아가 자신의 생각과 느낌을 자유롭게 표현하며 성장하도록 돕는 과정이라고 설명했다. 이와 함께 교사가 유아의 표현과 놀이 경험을 교육적으로 확장해 주는 역할이 무엇보다 중요하다고 강조했다.
오후 연수에서는 가온누리교육연구소 홍표선 소장이 ‘애쓰지 않아도 스며드는 생활지도’를 주제로 바통을 이어받았다. 홍 소장은 유아의 행동을 통제의 대상으로 보기보다 관계 속에서 성장해 가는 과정으로 이해해야 한다고 설명하며, 교사와 유아 간의 두터운 신뢰를 바탕으로 한 공감 중심 생활지도의 중요성을 짚었다.
충북교육청은 이번 연수를 통해 유치원 현장의 교육 질이 한층 높아질 것으로 기대하고 있다.
