Cheongju Office of Education Joins All-out Effort with 13 Local Affiliated Organizations to Identify Students at Risk During Vacation

The Cheongju Office of Education is joining hands with local community organizations to strengthen its customized integrated support for students facing complex crises.

The Cheongju Office of Education recently held meetings with 13 local affiliated organizations. These meetings were organized to identify students at risk who might otherwise fall into welfare blind spots by escaping the school's routine monitoring network during vacations, and to enhance the effectiveness of support by linking these efforts with the Office's customized support programs.

During the visits, the Cheongju Office of Education provided guidance on each organization's support procedures and discussed cooperation measures to ensure an immediate response upon discovering students at risk. In particular, they shared detailed information on customized support areas based on student situations—such as emergency daily necessities, food, and clothing support, psychological testing and professional counseling, and medical expense support—and concretized the division of roles and cooperation systems among the organizations. Choi Dong-ha, Superintendent of the Cheongju Office of Education, emphasized that it is of paramount importance for the local community to take a collective interest and look after students in crisis who fall through the cracks and are difficult to identify at school during vacation periods. He stated that the Office will continue to cooperate closely with local agencies to actively support the healthy growth and stable school lives of students, ensuring that those in need are not excluded from support.

Starting with this meeting, the Cheongju Office of Education plans to continuously implement comprehensive, customized integrated support for students by maintaining ongoing communication with relevant local organizations, jointly monitoring changes in students and their needs for additional support, and connecting resources in a timely manner.
